A change of TMC meant a fresh start for Irish client Aer Rianta International (ARI)

What was the project?
To improve the travel booking process and make business travel safer and more convenient for employees.
After a long-standing relationship with their previous travel management company (TMC), ARI felt a change was needed and appointed CWT to champion that change. We love a challenge so got stuck in straight away to simplify the way staff booked their business travel and to make their business trips altogether much safer.
What did working together achieve?
Each traveller now has a personal profile that contains their individual data, saving them bags of time each time they make a booking. Meanwhile behind the scenes at CWT, our clever systems have been hard at work creating helpful reports for the ARI management team to show them where they’re succeeding with policy compliance and where savings could still be made. A few highlights of the project...
- Staff satisfaction – the reassurance of a 24/7, multi-lingual emergency helpline was a major factor.
- Safer business travel – employees could be pinpointed on CWT’s traveller-tracking maps at any time – vital during times of crisis.
- Local support from the CWT Limerick office and a locally-based programme manager.
“We chose to work with CWT due to their focus on traveller experience, as well as their awareness of ARI travel policy and an ability to help us improve our contingency planning.” Rachel Grogan, human resources officer, Aer Rianta International
“The travellers were extremely receptive to the services and tools provided by CWT, making my experience a very enjoyable and rewarding one.”
Orla Gormley, CWT programme manager, Ireland
